Jessie is the neighbour’s dog, she regularly escapes to come and play tag with our dog Smokey – its a bit like a dragster racing an electric wheelchair – Smokey gets one eighth of the way around the water tank for every four laps of Jessie streaking past in a blur. Jessie is also real thin. She gets lots of meat and biscuits on her jailbreak outings and loves to sit on my sneakers and lean against my leg for cuddles – which are copiously on tap. Jessie is a seriously loveable canine.
