Alice Pfeiffer, Paris correspondent for a host of top quality English publications in the USA and London, (that’s her posing with her recommendation) is an expert on all things Parisian and introduced me to one of the finest ice cream experiences of my life. I ordered two flavours on a cone and the beautiful – and beautifully dressed – girl behind the counter deftly scooped the choice of flavours – chocolate and Amaretto – into a sculpted flower. Evidently for the same price I could have chosen five or more flavours, with each ‘petal’ being a different flavour. The ice cream tasted incredible!
Amarino has twelve branches in Paris (we went to the one in rue Vieille du Temple) but according to David Lebovitz’s blog about ‘living the sweet life in Paris’, there is an even better Glacier a block away at Pozetto and they have two branches in Paris.
